You may want to check out Park Cities Morning Running Group. They run every weekday morning at 6 AM in the Uptown/Knox area I believe and early on weekend mornings at White Rock. Go to www.goldenadventures.com and then click on favorite links then Park Cities Morning Running Group. Real nice group of folks. Golden Adventures (Diane Golden is the owner) also has a happy hour on the last Wed. of each month where you can meet other runners and Diane also does running and cycling trips.

Hi Kathy,
I live in Addison too, and I run almost everyday. I run a path that includes the white rock creek trail and goes throught that neighborhood. It's about a 5k and I usually run it after work. On the weekends, I usually go out to White Rock Lake, or over to Brookhaven and do a long run there. (of course with the weather changing, we'll see how long that last! ) I may do the Turkey trot this year...still thinking about it.

I am also new to the Addison/N. Dallas area and would like to find someone or a group to run with. I thought about joining a running club, but I am more of a beginner. I used to run competively, but had surgery a year ago and am still getting back into shape.
So, if anyone would like to get together for more of a jog email me back!

Hi Nicole,
If you're looking to get started in Running, I'd suggest you check out the running specialty stores around here. One is called Run On,
http://www.runontexas.com/ and the other is Lukes Locker
http://www.lukeslocker.com/. They have running classes and groups you can join. Run On has a group run on Wednesdays that is free, but I don't know what time they start. Perhaps if there is enough intested we can all get together on a weekend day at White Rock Lake or the White Rock Creek trails and do a light run. Weather is getting PERFECT for this!!

I'm new to the running world but I'm doing the Turkey Trot and the White Rock 5k Mayor's Race (same weekend of the marathon). I would love to find a group of people to run with on the weekends and even some weeknights. I live a mile east of the uptown area off 75 and Lemmon and I like to go to White Rock on the weekends. Anyone intersested or know where to point me to? Thanks!

I'm a new runner too... definitely not trained enough to keep up with experts, but looking for a nice, SAFE place to do my morning jogs. I'd love to hear suggestions... I'd try White Rock Lake, since it's close by, but a DPD friend says there are several rapes there every month.
