Website Advertising
We use Google Adwords for our website advertising and currently only allow text ads (which are simple as you do not need to design an ad and they can appear in any ad format). They allow you to target ads for specific cities so only ppl accessing the Internet from that city (by IP Address) will see your ads. They also automatically handle all tax paperwork (you deal with them and not us) and you will have to submit your business\tax information with them when you register for an account.
If you wish to post an ad on our site, you will need to use Google Adwords. They have a lot of instructions on how to do this and support. You will need to deal with them directly and not us. We don't even need to know you are advertising on our site. Here is how you can use google to advertise on our website:
1.) Click on Google Adwords
2.) You will have to setup your account and create an ad campaign and an ad. There is a lot of documentation on this from google when you signup. They will guide you through the process. If you have questions on signing up with google, contact them and not us (we will not respond). Google allows you to advertise on our site without us having to even know. It's all done automatically.
3.) Select a specific region you wish to target for your ads with Google's Regional Targeting if you want to target one of our specific cities. If you do not choose a specific city then you will target our entire website.
4.) Select a specific website you wish to advertise on (such as www.yapclub.com) by selecting "List URLs" with Google's Placement Targeting. There is an option to enter website urls in which you can enter http://www.yapclub.com to target our website.
5.) The cost and placement of the ad on our website is automatically determined by google through competitive bidding. You can choose to bid via CPC (cost per click) or CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) and you may also set budgets. You get better and more placements of your ad if you bid more. We are not sure the exact costs to bid on our site as it is constantly changing based on demand. The minimum starts at 5 cents CPC usually and then goes up from there as demand fluctuates.
6.) Google makes it real easy and handles all billing, budgets and more. And you can use Google to advertise on other websites too which makes it a convenient option for businesses. And google has advanced tools to prevent click fraud and ensure you are getting a true CPM (not counting robots).

Cross Promotions
We are always looking to cross promote with various different organizations and websites. However, we don't do 'freebee' promotions where you offer our members coupons or discounts for your product or service. If you wish to promote your product or service you can do so via our newsletter ads or brand sponsorship below.
