So how exactly does this work? I've never really showed up to something (other than a job) by myself where I really didn't know anyone. Are we going to have a little area, or will someone be watching out for folks? I'd like to meet you guys, but if I've gotta figure out who's who, I'll probably just wander off by myself and then leave early, ha.

Everyone is mostly in your same position....wants something different to do/and wants to make new friends. There will be an area so you can easily find other "yappers." If all else fails, ask someone on the staff for me and I'll lead you in the right direction. Don't let not knowing anyone scare you off bc most of us don't know anyone either. hope to see you there!
