Holiday Weekend Kayak Tour with Guided I

Join Things To Do for an amazing Memorial Weekend kayaking tour through one of America’s oldest seaports, the historic town of Annapolis. With over 30 years of kayaking, our instructors/guides are experienced and certified outdoor leaders with a wealth of area knowledge, its wildlife and history. All guides/instructors are US Coast Guard Approved and are Certified in Aquatic Safety and First Aid.

After a brief description of equipment and a paddle school session, you will be ready to kayak Annapolis. We will be putting in at the headwaters of Spa Creek in Truxton Park. Paddling the calm headwaters of Spa Creek, you will experience the hidden gems of Annapolis. You will feel you’ve been taken back in time as a clear view of the nation’s oldest state house becomes a picturesque backdrop to the beautiful homes lining the creek and the old oyster and crabbing boats bobbing rhythmically in the water. Our voyage takes us first toward Eastport, a quaint town rich in maritime history. Then, we continue under the drawbridge and onward to the United States Naval Academy. Next, we arrive at the hub of downtown Annapolis, the world famous City Dock, where we’ll take a moment’s pause for pictures and a quick rest before we begin the homeward bound leg of our tour.

No previous kayaking experience needed, but all participants should have basic swimming skills.
