Horseback Ridiing and BBQ Picnic
Leave modern development and traffic behind and travel back to the days of the colonies on a horseback trail ride through the unspoiled rolling hills and streams of Patapsco Valley State Park in southwestern Carroll County. Through 8,000 acres of picturesque parkland, these trails run alongside flowing streams and cliffs overlooking the woodlands and offer an abundance of flora and fauna. Listen to the natural music of waterfalls and water flows over rocky streambeds mixed with the gentle sounds of hooves upon the ground. Summer is a beautiful time to enjoy the natural beauty as Mother Nature is in full bloom. At this time of year, the air is warm and the state park is abundance of colors
After our 60 minute journey, relax and enjoy a catered bbq picnic with all the fixings.

12:30 pm 1-hour Guided Trail Ride Through Patapsco Valley State Park

As with all outdoor activities, there is always the possibility of inclement weather. Please be aware of the weather and check this website the day before the event for inclement weather instructions. When purchasing tickets, please be sure to provide a Saturday morning contact number, rather than a weekday office number, should it be necessary to contact you regarding the changes in schedule due to the weather.

I-70 runs between the Baltimore Beltway I-695 and Frederick Maryland. Depending upon where you are coming from: East or West on I-70 to Exit 83 Marriottsville Road.North on Marriottsville Road for several miles and turn left on Ridge Road. Follow Ridge Road approx. 1 mile to the Misty Manor sign on the right. Make a sharp right turn and follow the driveway to the end at Misty Manor Stables.
