If you find yourself just outside the campus area and feel like a martini, there is no place like Bristols. It has delicious and creative drinks at fairly reasonable prices, and a comfortable atmosphere. The venue itself is large and attractive, featuring plainly yet tastefully decorated hardwood floors,tables and benches. The decor is such that everything flows together, creating an aesthetic unity that any interior design major would struggle to top.

The bartenders are friendly and efficient, and the drinks that they prepare are fantastic. My personal favorite is the ginger-lemongrass martini, but there is a wide and varied selection that even the snobbiest of martini enthusiasts would have trouble criticizing. While you will definitely spend more here than you would at a dive bar, be assured that you get what you pay for.

If you are into dancing, Bristol's could be the place to spend your Saturday nights. They have a happy hour that flows into the introduction of varied DJ's that play an eclectic blend of techno, house and lounge music. The reduced drink prices, as well as the music, continue until close at 2:30 A.M. While Bristols is a very relaxing environment to enjoy a great drink, I wouldn't suggest going there on a Saturday night unless you are ready to move your body.

Bristol's biggest weakness is their choice of location. It is located on a residential street, surrounded by no other business except for a pay day advance office that, in all honesty, looks kind of scary. It makes one wonder what would posses a business owner to open a Martini Bar, of all venues, in such neighborhood. Maybe it's the cheap rent. Nevertheless, once you come inside, you are in for a good time.
