Tiny Canary Craft Market
Personally, I get bored with the normal Columbus scene and I LOVE to see strange or different events. Since the holidays are upon us. I thought it would be fun to go to see some art and be able to buy some. Junctionview always seems to have great events normally. I personally love supporting the local artists because we are the indie art capital of the world. How much fun is grabbing some hot chocolate, putting on your favorite holiday music, and being a tourist for a day by seeing a different styled event? Let's have some fun this weekend by trying something new. I've included a little info about the event. Hope to see you guys there, looking your best as usual. :)
An alternative for the gift giving season, Tiny Canary, a modern arts and crafts market, will feature independent designers and makers of everything from jewelry and clothing, to original body care products and home décor. November 15 and 16, from 10 am – 6 pm each day, Junctionview Studios (889 Williams Ave. Grandview Heights, Ohio) will serve as a temporary marketplace for early holiday shoppers who prefer a unique alternative to the overcrowded and over-commercialized shopping malls. Parking and entrance to the event are free. The first one hundred in attendance each day will receive a organic cotton tote bag filled with samples and coupons from the vendors.
Not only will shoppers have the opportunity to purchase some truly unique items, but they can also speak to the creator of the items themselves. In a time of economic uncertainty, purchasing directly from individuals is a great way to invest in small businesses, the local economy and to help grow and sustain a creative community.
