Like most major cities Dallas has a lot to offer. The Music Hall in Fair Park brings in major productions every year including the popular Dallas Summer Musicals series. The Dallas Museum of Art offers Friday Late Nights throughout the year where it is open until Midnight. Dallas is also home to several indoor rock climbing gyms which are popular since Dallas is flat.

For camping, Cedar Ridge Preserve southwest of Dallas and Turner Falls about an hour and a half north of Dallas in Oklahoma are popular destinations. Also are Mineral Wells State Park and Tubing on the Brazos. Many Dallasites also make the 5 hour journey once a year in the summer to New Braunfels to tube the Guadalupe river which is quite the party.
