LEAGUE INFORMATION
Yucatan is age 21 and up.

UPDATE FOR WEDNESDAY 3/14
THIS IS THE OFFICIAL DAY THAT THE LEAGUES BEGIN. HERE ARE SOME COMMON QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.

CAN I COME OUT AND WATCH IF I'M NOT ON A TEAM? YES, PLEASE DO, WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AS MANY PEOPLE OUT THE FIRST NIGHT AS POSSIBLE.

WHERE DO I CHECK THE WEEKLY SCHEDULE?
Please make sure you have submitted all name changes as by Friday 3/9, there will be no changes to signup/team names after Friday.

By Sunday there should be a link on this page to the schedule postings for this league, but I highly suggest you check the schedule each week the morning of the games to ensure the schedule has not changed or Captains should designated someone on the team to review and contact team players should it change.

SCHEDULES FOR ALL TEAMS ARE POSTED ON THE LIGHTED BULLETIN BOARD. LOOK FOR YAP TEAMS COURT ASSIGNMENT THE NIGHT OF PLAY EACH WEEK. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOW THE COURTS ARE NUMBERED, ASK THE BARTENDER OR SOMEONE AROUND, MOST EVERYONE CAN TELL YOU HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT COURTS.

UPDATE FOR WEDNESDAY 3/7
Weather permitting we will have our first practice/social volleyball. Those who want to come out and watch are welcome, but please do not sign up on this posting as this will be the event that will continue throughout the league with updates to those actually on a team. (i.e....it will keep you from getting emails unless you want to hear about the league events, then sign up as a cheerleader, the more the merrier. Just let me know you are not planning to play)

EVERYTHING BELOW POSTED PRIOR TO 2/29/07
Next Wednesday, Yucatan will host a Yap Registration/Appetizer Buffet. Therefore, please RSVP on here if you plan to come out next week for the official sign up. It will be a great time to see everyone and if the weather permits we will hit the sand courts.

The actual league starts on 3/ 14. There are several formats and divisions being formered. When you sign up, put the your skill level and division. SEE BELOW for explanation. Team assignments will be based on 1st come basis and returning teams will get senority for their former teams. Captains from former teams will be present at registration looking to fill positions on their teams and new teams will be formed.

The Yap Teams formed in this Post are for Wednesday Nights between 6:45-10:45pm. Once Yucatan Forms the Final Teams in Each Division for this league, the schedules will be posted and you should typically know the exact time for each week at minimum 3-4 days in advance, but I would say be prepared to play every Wednesday anytime between those listed above. If you are interested in an alternate night or playing two nights a week, just put that in the post and I will help coordinate those teams if there is enough interest.

PAYMENTS

All cash/check payments after 2/29 are $40.00 per person.

Paypal will be available at $40 until March 4th due to the link not being available sooner. After March 4th, the fee will go up to $45.00 as online payments require fees to paypal, both receiving and forwarding to end user.

SIGN UP
When you sign up please put the division you are interested in as well as the skill level.

Divisions:
Coed 4x4 – A coed team must have at least one female to play – the coed rule is in effect for all coed leagues except “C” level.

Coed 6x6 – A coed team must have at least two females to play – the coed rule is in effect for all coed leagues except “C” level.

Open Gender – There is no requirement for the number of females that can play at any given time.

Volleyball League Skill Levels
C- Beginner/Novice - Recreational
B – Intermediate - Good basic skills and understanding of rules
BB – Intermediate/Advanced – Competitive, involves overhand serving, setting and passing
A – Advanced – Solid skills, experienced players with aggressive hitting
AA – Highly competitive

For Rainouts Call Yucatan the day of games after 4:30pm. Do not assume games are cancelled because it might not be raining in Coppell where the courts are located.

Sign Up Rules:
All payments are non-refundable once you have been assigned to a full team. All players are responsible for checking schedules each week the day of play as well as knowing the rules of play and terms for joining a Yap team. If you are signing up a friend, you are responsible that they are informed of these rules, game times, team assignments, and payment terms. Each player will be required to sign a liability waiver and team roster from Yucatan the first night of play and at that time I will ask each player to read the rules/terms and agree to such in order to continue to be a member on the team.

Any player who misses two games and does not contact, myself, the captain or another teammate will be removed from the team with no refund and replaced with an alternate/sub player. Please be committed to be available every Wednesday night and/or give as much notice possible if you cannot make your game.

Courts are available for open play weekdays until 6 PM and there are usually a few courts open on Monday and Friday nights. Saturday and Sundays are usually good for open play day and night. No charge for open play.
