Flag Football for Fun

We are going to play some flag football for fun. I will have flags and cones. This is a for fun event so anyone can come out. It will be coed and we will split up into two teams and play games against each other.

It will be beginner oriented and just for fun.  So all skill levels are welcome. However, you do have to know the basic rules of football before coming out. We'll explain some of the rules for flag football when you show up.

We will play for a couple hours or so or until everyone is tired. For those wanting to, we can grab lunch afterwards but usually everyone will be too tired.

WHAT TO BRING
Lots of water
Old Clothes (sometimes shirts can rip grabbing for flags)
Layers of clothes (in case it is cold in morning and warms up later)
Athletic shoes. Soft cleats if you have them.

Note that field availability can sometimes be a problem with unexpected city leagues or people playing. So we have a process for us. I will have small YAP signs by where all our stuff is laying.

10:00AM - Meet at Main Field & Wait for Everyone
First step is to goto the main field we have picked out first. This is the field on the southwest corner of McCoy and Keller Springs behind the hedges (u cannot see it from the road). To get to where we will park you will have to go the back way:

To get to the first football field, take Keller Springs east of I-35. Take a right on Denton Dr. Take a left on Noble. You will eventually run into the park on the corner of Faye and Noble.

I will have my red 1998 Grand Prix parked in the parking lot there or along the road. It will have a YAP sign in the back window. We will either be

1. Hanging out on the field (if it is available)
2. Hanging out along side the field (if it is full but still room to throw the ball)
3. Hanging out in the parking lot (it is full and we're waiting for people)

10:15 AM - Stay at Main Field or Move to Secondary Field
At this point we will either stay at this field if it is available or look to see if the other field in the park is open. There is another football field in the park further east we will all walk to if it is open. If you arrive late and my car is there walk towards this field.

10:30 AM - Start Playing or Move to Backup Park
If everything goes according to plan, at 10:30 we will all have been warmed up, stretched and ready to play at either the main or secondary fields at the Josey Sports Complex.

If the Josey Sports Complex is way too busy then we will all caravan to another park together at 10:30 after we've warmed up. I have some ideas in mind. Call my mobile if you are late or you cannot find us.
