Mardi Gras Party 2006

UPDATE: We had to change venues so we are moving to Metro Grill instead and reducing the price to $5.

Every season we have one big party with a theme. To wrap up the end of Winter, we're going to have a big Mardi Gras Party. Like our annual Halloween Party, we expect this one to be big and fun. We are also doing it jointly with the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce (another young professionals group) who will also be joining us for the night.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE
When you walk in there will be a door to the right to the bar area. We should have a YAP sign up on it. The party starts at 8:30 as a previous party there is ending at 8:00. When you walk in there will be a person (James) at a table on right collecting money for the event. 

It's $5 and you will get a wristband indicating you are with our group which also gets you the drink specials. You will also get one free drink ticket and some mardi gras beads. I got some pretty nice beads so everyone should be happy. First 100 ppl will get the better beads.

So you'll know everyone who has a wristband (should be pretty much most of the bar all night) is with our group and you can go up and say hello. We are a very friendly group and everyone is used to meeting new people. Most people won't know most people there as a general rule. And quite a few people won't know anyone. So it's a good chance to meet a lot of people!

Our own DJ spinning tunes most of the night with a dancefloor (they're making room for us)

MORE DETAILS
This should be a great party! The venue has a long bar area and some tables. There is also a private patio where you can hang outside. They also have a private upstairs room which will be available for us if the place gets real crowded. They are moving some of their tables around for a DJ too that we got for the night so we'll have good party and dance music all night. 

Feel free to bring your own beads but for those who don't remember everyone gets free beads at the door.
