I Will Not Be Broken - Jerry White
Jerry White is a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, landmine survivor and global activist who has dedicated his life to helping victims of violent conflict heal their wounds and rebuild their lives. While camping in Northern Israel, he stepped on a landmine and spent nearly six months in Israeli hospitals learning to walk on an artificial leg. In 1995, Jerry co-founded Landmine Survivors Network (LSN) - the first international organization created by and for survivors to help victims recover from trauma and fulfill their rights. Jerry worked closely with Diana, Princess of Wales, and led what was to become her last humanitarian mission in August 1997. He is a recognized leader of the historic International Campaign to Ban Landmines and co-recipient of the 1997 Nobel Prize for Peace.
The Landmine Survivors Network is expanding its mission, as Survivor Corps (www.survivorcorps.org), to work with partner organizations worldwide to improve the physical, psychological, social and economic well-being of all conflict survivors.
