The Miracle League

“If I were to tell you about an organized youth sports league, you might call it ordinary... If I were to tell you the athletes are physically and mentally challenged, you might call it touching... If you were to see them play... you would call it a miracle.” - Miracle League Association Come volunteer Saturday mornings for The Miracle League, a sports league for special-needs children. It is a great opportunity to team-up and help a child (one who was once told they would be unable to participate in sports) actually be actively involved and play. Check out the League's website, stop by one Saturday morning just to see what the league is all about. I began volunteering just to become involved in something once I moved down here ... well 1 year later and I am hooked; I look forward to every Saturday morning and being able to see the smiles and joy on all the kids faces as they run around and play. Sports currently offered: Spring Soccer Spring Baseball Summer Bowling Summer Gymnastics Fall Soccer Fall Baseball Winter Bowling Because every child deserves the chance to play... A sports league for special-needs children from throughout North Texas. The specially equipped field is located in the 79-acre Harold Bacchus Community Park on FM 3537 (720/Main Street) between Independence Parkway and Coit Road in Frisco, TX.
