I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!
We have BOTH boats for the Colony's Annual Fireworks show which is on a Saturday night July 1st (so we've moved from the 4th). That means we get to see fireworks, party all night and not have to worry about going to work the next day. The boat parks 100 yards off the beachhead where fireworks launch -- it is spectacular!
We are going to make this a premium event so it will be $25 and I will have some Independence Day party favors and better than normal BBQ.
This event will sell out very fast. I will let everyone know when the paypal link is up and then it is first come first serve to fill the 100 spots.
Note I have also finalized the other party barges for the summer and the one of the 9th got moved to the 10th of June.

That's right. The July 1st Party Barge is now accepting payments. Note that due to the high demand and because this is a premium event we will be charging $25 for this party barge instead of the usual $20. In return, I will have some patriotic party favors (including red, white and blue leis) for everyone and we'll have some burgers (including Veggie burgers) in addition to the usual chips, sodas and hot dogs.
Everyone hurry up and signup. Note we WILL sell out and sell out sooner than normal. Please note there is a NEW PAYMENT system. Click on the Pay for Event link to pay for the event. Also please read the directions for payment carefully as you will not be issued a refund if you break one of our rules (such as no guests under 21 allowed and a 5 guest maximum). For instance, if you decide to pay for 20ppl at once I will refund 15*19 = 285 and you will lose $15 in PayPal convenience fees I incurred. To avoid this if you want to have a lot of friends come you can have 4 ppl each signup on their own and make 4 $125 payments for 20ppl for example.
For those not knowing quite what to expect we did this event back in 2003 and it was AWESOME. We park the boat right where the fireworks are launched so we have a great view. Plus, there are tons of other boats out there and it is a very fun and festive atmosphere. There really is no better place to watch fireworks. ;)

EVENT UPDATE:
Hey Everyone.....
Just a reminder of our July 1st Fireworks Show Party barge this Saturday. This is a super event not to be missed. And you can watch this show, party and not have to go to work the next day. :)
We will be parked RIGHT where they launch the fireworks so the view and show will be fantastic. Plus, there will be tons of other boats out there so it is a party atmosphere and us having the two barges puts us as party central.
We also doing more food this time so we'll have burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cookies, cake and all kinds of other stuff. Everyone will get a free red\white\blue flower lei too.
So everyone signup and come join us!!!!
As a reminder, this is a very busy time for the marina so be sure to show up early and also bring directions with you as the Pier can be difficult to find.

ok Jason, so i tried paying for the event using a credit card, but seems like the payment did not go thru. Also I'm very new here, and there's a big chance I'm going to get lost and will be driving all around texas to get there. Maybe I should come for the preparty and leave with all of you from there. EVENT UPDATE:
Hey Everyone,
For those still wanting to go, we still have some spots available. For those going, here are some important items.

1 - ARRIVE EARLY - the place is hard to find plus is very crowded today; we plan on arriving at 7:30 and hanging out by the boat area or the bar\restaurant. So I recommend coming then. We board the boat at 8:15pm and leave at 8:30.
2 - BRING DIRECTIONS - once again, the place is hard to find. there are no signs off the highway that are easily viewable. Whatever direction you are coming from, the nearest waypoint is the Albertsons on the Northeast corner of 121 and Main St. It is not far from I-35. Maybe 5 mins. So if you get lost look for this.
Note from this Albertsons you go southbound on 121 and take a right by the liquor store and gas station (standridge dr); I believe it is the first light after main st. My cell is 972-679-9818 and Just for Fun's number (the boat company) is 972-370-7700.
The directions are thorough and also include information on finding us once you arrive at the pier. It is much easier to go by directions than have me explain over phone so recommend you follow them first and only call if you're lost.

3 - PREPARTY AT JASON's - for those wanting to carpool, join us at my house beforehand (event on website); this is good to do if you're worried about finding the place or just want to share a ride as parking can be tough. if you're coming alone I recommend you stop by here first and ride share. Note though we will leave early at 6:45 and hang out at the dock early.
