I am going to work hard to get us a good deal on a group discount. So when we go depends on that. But I hope to get a price around $450 for a week. For those who have not cruised before, this includes everything on the ship but alcohol. Entertainment and food is free. And shore excursions cost money too.

Official Travel Addict here: Have been all over but always put off the cruise thingy... just seems so, 3rd class travel in my mind but had a gf in Germany who worked on a huge liner for about 3 years and said I MUST do it at least once. So, count me in, room, food and entertainment for a week for $450...I'm already half packed..... Sky |

A group of my friends are going to this:
11/12/06-11/19/06 Sunday through Sunday 7 day cruise to Montego Bay, grand Caymans and Cozumel on carnival cruise lines CONQUEST. At just $576.00 per person (based upon double occupancy) price includes everything but liquor and transportation to Galveston (port of departure).
If anyone's interested, contact me and I'll forward you to the friend who is putting this together. |

What about cruises going out of Galveston? Since the majority of YAP reside in Texas this would reduce the airfare costs & might get a bigger/better turnout. |

In my experience its best to have a cruise that is at least 1 week long. Its not worth the effort fly to Miami for only a 3-day weekend cruise. It takes 2 - 3 days to unwind and relax, so a weekend cruise is not enough time. :) Terry |
