Are there any jazz or reggae lovers out there? I LOVE to listen to live jazz and reggae, but I haven't been able to find other people that share this passion. The reggae here is a little hit and miss, but there are some cool jazz spots. Some of my favorites are:
Straight Ahead Jazz: Pearl and The Balcony Club
Smooth and Light Jazz: Soho, Brooklyn and Sambuca

My two favorite types of music. I had a killer reggae band play at my New Year's party. If you want to check out their schedule, they're called One Love Uprising. There is also a great place on Preston south of George Bush that has live bands most nights. It's a strange little place but something of a cult classic now. Much better in warm weather though. I'm down with the reggae...
Last spot I ventured onto some great reggae was '98. A great little hole in the wall spot off of Forest/Josey Ln. I believe. Quite entertaining to say the least. I would be interested most certainly. I'm new to Yap and this is a great way for me to start living.
