Host: Helping Hands for The Family Place Location: Black Finn 4440 Beltline Rd., Addison, TX View Map When: Wednesday, January 17, 6:30pm Phone: 469.374.7667 How about hanging out with a friendly group of people that make a difference? Helping Hands will be hosting a happy hour at the new Black Finn in Addison on Belt Line Rd. This month we will get together to have fun and raise funds for Sky David. As most of you may or may not know, in October we lost one of our members. Sky David was a dedicated volunteer for Helping Hands. A regular at Family Place shelter events and fundraisers, Sky's enthusiasm and humor will be sorely missed. Sky earned his Ph.D. in Political Science and was an active member of the Dallas A&M Club. In honor of Sky's memory, the Dallas A&M Club is directing efforts for a scholarship to be awarded to a deserving Ph.D. candidate in the TAMU Political Science department. Helping Hands is proud to be donating proceeds from the January happy hour to the scholarship in Sky's honor. You will receive 1 comp drink as well as some appetizers. (You can also order off the extensive and very reasonably priced menu). Helping Hands Members - Free!* Guests - $10 donation requested *Join Helping Hands ($40) and get free entry into Happy Hours for the next 12 months. 100% of your dues supports The Family Place. Go to www.dallashelpinghands.org for more info and to download a membership application and bring with you or you can pick one up at the door. The mission of The Family Place is to eliminate family violence through intervention and proactive prevention, extensive community education, advocacy and assistance for victims and their families. www.familyplace.org or http://www.dallashelpinghands.org www.blackfinndallas.com/home
