Product Usability Manager

Qualification requirements:

• Masters in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or Engineering required
• Proven ability to design outstanding user interfaces resulting in customer acclaim
• Experience designing, conducting and analyzing the results of usability tests to drive user interface design, preferably with a 3D application or medical product
• A background in human factors or engineering with an emphasis on human-computer interaction
• Results oriented team player with a get-it-done attitude who thrives in a small, fast-paced working environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, write and converse in German in a technical setting is a plus

Key responsibilities:

The role of the Product Usability Manager is to drive business objectives by serving as the primary advocate of customer product needs.  Primary responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to the following:

• Define product requirements based on feedback from customers, internal users and market and competitive trend analysis
• Develop use cases, user interface prototypeds, work flows and user models in support of product requirements and for communication with engineering
• Define and execute usability testing to ensure user interface designs and product features meet customer needs
• Serve as an advocate for user experience in product design decisions
• Coordinate internal pre-launch activities including beta test management and internal train-the-trainer programs
• Evaluate third party products and vendors for potential partnerships and support interaction with partners
• Some travel required
