Hi Everyone,
I wasn't sure how to do this so I thought I would drop a message through the forum as suggested.
My name is Zach Bair, president of RockHouse Live (www.rockhouselive.com) in North Dallas. I'm the founder and former CEO of Immediatek/DiscLive (www.disclive.com), a publicly traded company which I recently sold to Mark Cuban. DiscLive was the leader in recording live events and releasing CDs immediately after the event. We have worked with everyone from the Pixies to Loverboy, and from Kenny Loggins to Edgefest here in Dallas (we're the ones who recorded the EdgeFest Ripped CD).
Upon leaving DiscLive, myself and by business partner, Brad Coffelt (who is also my drummer in my band No Control) went about opening a live music venue unlike any other. Our concept was to create an upscale "boutique" live music venue featuring a homey atmosphere, huge professional stage, and would include great food, safe parking, where we would invite top regional, national and touring acts to play. The idea being to create someplace where folks can go to hang out and mingle, as well as see their favorite original as well as cover bands.
The result is RockHouse Live Grille and Venue. And yes, we are still trying to put the word out. Personally, after spending many years as CEO and/or president of different companies, but also with a lifelong love of music, I am so very happy that the dream has come true and our venue is up and operating. We just had the Gin Blossoms (remember them) the night before last, and we have had such bands as The Fixx, Revelation Theory, LA Guns, and many more. There is always something fun going on. We have several professional groups that meet at our place (we have big screen projector, etc., perfect for presentations).
Anyway, I just wanted to throw this out there more as an invitation to mingle and check the place out than anything else. I'm not much on using forums to advertise, but would rather make friends. If you want to come by the venue, we do have a terrific happy hour - $1.75 wells and domestics until 9PM - and nightly live music.
This forum is a great idea and I am glad I found it!
