Description
- Receive specimens from outside clinics
- Ensure correct data entry as each specimen is received into the Orchard Software system.
- Check for proper name, accession number, clinic ID and correct samples.
- Prepare all send out specimens for pick up to Quest and ensure proper handling of specimens according to in-house or reference laboratory protocols.
- Ensure that all specimens to be sent to Quest have proper test(s) ordered, the correct accession number and correct specimen.
- Sort all in-house labs to various departments, placing specimens in appropriate racks; chemistry , hematology, Tosoh, Coag, etc.
- HOURS ARE 5PM-2AM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. NO WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS, OCCASIONAL OVERTIME Requirements
Knowledge of proper OSHA and regulatory guidelines. Some lifting up to approximately 20 lbs. Other duties as assigned.
High School graduate and knowledge and/or experience in a high volume lab. |
