The following is a link that directs you to the Miracle League of Frisco home page.  The Miracle League is a sports league for children with special needs.

http://www.friscomiracleleague.org/

Check it out, the league is always in need of buddies, umpires/referees, coaches, and just general help.  The number of participating kids has doubled since last year and we expect the league to continue its growth.

Click here to watch NBC 5's coverage of the league.

The specially equipped field is located in
the 79-acre Harold Bacchus Community
Park on FM 3537 (720/Main Street) between
Independence Parkway and Coit Road.
The park includes a youth baseball/softball
5-plex which allows our special-needs
athletes to play right alongside their peers.
League play for all sports is noncompetitive.
We focus on skills development,
and most of all - the fun part! We rely
on volunteers from the community for
buddies to assist athletes on the field,
coaches, game officials and announcers.
Our board of directors and administrative
support are all volunteers who carve out the
time to make this league the vibrant,
thriving organization it has become.
The Miracle League of Frisco is one of the
few— if not the only— chapters in
the country to also offer league soccer,
bowling and gymnastics. Additional sports
will come as we continue to grow!
“If I were to tell you
about an organized youth
sports league, you might
call it ordinary...
If I were to tell you
the athletes are physically
and mentally challenged,
you might call it
touching...
If you were to see
them play...
you would call it
a miracle.”
