I just wanted to say hello. I just moved to Dallas, and knowing only a handful of people, I thought this would be a great way to meet people in the city. I am hoping to attend the monthly party this weekend, so I look forward to meeting a lot of new people.

Hey Kristen V. Welcome to Dallas. My wife and I have lived in Dallas for nearly 8 years so we know the city pretty well. We just now are trying to get out and meet some new people on YAP because a lot of our friends have moved away after college or grad school  .

Hey Kristen. I just moved to this area too for work. But unfortunately I don't know anyone and I joined this to get to know people as well. I will be at the Monthly thing as well. It's good to know that I am not the only new person there

Hey new yappers!
I've been with yap for a little over a year..i dont usually do the monthly thing, but i do the theme parties. Just attended the Hawaiian party last weekend. Was pretty good.
I'm gearing up for the 888 Infinity and Beyond Party...it's a Pilots and Stewardess costume theme party on August 8th. Also, I'm gearing up for the eighties party in September. So many costume parties, so little time.
And dont get me started on Halloween....

What's this monthly event everyone keeps mentioning? I just moved here from Boston and know not a soul. I could use a friend, or ten friends! Is it OK to go to the event solo?
