Sorry that no one replied but I hope you know someone did. Anyway check out the events and activities. People here are really nice. Just busy. Anyway I've only went to a few events and they were fun. Hope you have a great time on your events. And always stay safe.

As a long time participant and event leader, here are my suggestions to new people.
1.  Sign up for an event that interests you.
2.  Send a note to the event leader and let them know you are attending an event for the first time or are relatively new.
3.  Review the attendance list and find someone else that is attending an event for the first time.  Send them a note and create a rookie bond.
4.  When you get to the event, ask for the event leader and introduce yourself.  Most event leaders will help you make introductions around the room and help you meet people.
5.  Remember that you joined YAP to meet new people and have some fun.  If you sign up, show up.  Be yourself and HAVE fun!!!   YAP people are very friendly.  Most events are very social, so its easy to mingle and meet people.
6.  Don't be shy, even if you are shy  :)

I just signed up and haven't been to any events yet.  I'm kinda nervous since I don't really know anyone.

Desiree,
We're somewhat in the same neighborhood.  I'm in Desoto.  I'm 36 and just moved into my home and just really looking to meet people  closer to my age as I attract YOUNG'UNS- they say it's b/c I don't look my age] LOL  Anyway, I don't know if you're into movies, tennis, bowling or walking-  but maybe we can connect.

Girl I feel you.  I moved here about 12 years ago after being a military kid for 22 years.  Although I'm back to my roots extended family here in DFW] all my friends are in other states, married or moved on.  I've been kind of busy pursuing goals the past couple of years but now more ready to enhance my associations.  So definitely we should connect online or off since you're in Dallas.

I currently reside in Desoto!
