Considering a job, need to find fun people

So I have been offered a good job in Fort Worth and am considering the move from here in California.  My main concern is that I don't know anyone there, and would need a good group of friends to keep life fun and interesting.  I am also considering buying a house when I get there and would probably need some cool people to live with.

My idea of a good week would involve work M-F during the day, maybe an hour or so of working out after work, then finding something fun to do in the evenings (city social events, bars/clubs, concerts, anything else..) and then on the weekend doing something bigger like wakeboarding, riding motorcycles/dirtbikes/quads, skydiving, stuff like that.

Anyone out there already living this type of adventurous life?  How do you all like fort worth? Is snowboarding pretty much out of the question down there?  Let me know, help me in this decision if you can.

Thanks
Bryan

Bryan,
Your life seems so exciting and you're only 23-- Go head with your badself.  I want to try SOME of the stuff in your photos but not that daring quite yet.  LOL  Anyway, hopefully your job choice is one that will provide you with the rewards you seek & new adventures.

REALLY exciting life you got there!

So, snowboarding isn't really much of an option down in DFW, but it isn't too far of a treck to Colorado or New Mexico if you have to get away. I have lived out in Dallas area most of my life, not as much in Ft. Worth, but there is a lot of stuff to do if you know the right people. You look pretty active and there are a lot of lakes to wakeboard, and some decent indoor rock climbing places - not to sure of any great outdoor cliffs. Also some pretty great dirt bike tracks around if you invest in one.

If you move out this direction, let me know... need a new adrenaline junkie friend :)

I love Ft. Worth. Considering moving there since my new office is only about 45 minutes away.

A lot of active stuff to do, very clean city, good night life, you have Lake Granbury not too far away.

I saw something about not being able to snowboard. They are actually building a ski resort in Ft Worth, pretty amazing, check it out:
