Try this on for some fun.

Easy, it a mistubishi engine used in the Gen 1, 2, and 3 Eclipes and in the 1 and 2 gen Evos. It a 2 liter engine with a turbocharge. Stock it uses a T-25 garrett turbo boasting a whoaping 14.5 psi for the eclipse.  Only for models GST or GSX.

What the heck are you going do to that poor engine?

Luckily eclipse parts come a dime a dozen. Are you building her up or keeping her up? My buddy was building up a Grand National but sold it when it had some engine trouble and the two babies arrived...his wife is not very understanding:(

The first gen had was from 1990-1994, the second gen was from 1994-1997, and the third gen was from 1998-1999, but know that I think about it, the body style really never changed between my definition of gen 2 and 3, but some components of the engine did.  What year is your engine? Because I know some of the 1996-1998 had some issues with crankwalk due to the trust bearing design.  My brother once had a mirrical GSX that ran 13.54 with a flywheel, full race exhaust, intake, and 15 psi on 20G turbo.  500 is very possible, for a conservative street car.

2g covers 95-99. Not much difference besides the front and rear bumper cover styling between the 95-96, and the 97-99. It's a 99. No crankwalk in 150k, knock on wood.

Prefer cars with 8 cylinders here....   ;)

I have an American Iron car I race a few times a year.   Pretty wild Mustang actually.  Headed to our national championships at Miller Motorsport Park next week.

www.modularedgemotorsports.com  is my website.   Need to add some new pictures of the latest mods on the car which are quite different.

We...I specialize in building Mustangs for the Camaro/Mustang Challenge and American Iron series with NASA.   I also instruct for a few track schools in the region and have driven everything from Chebby's and Fords to, lambo's, maserati's and Aston Martins.   Still want to drive a 430 and Audi R8 but we will have to see what shows up at the school for the rest of the year.

Keep up this thread.  Be nice to see some more "car guys" on here!

Im currently building my 1971 Chevelle. The new engine is about done. 496ci Stroker pushing 600+HP plus a 150shot of Nitrous.   The whole front clip is torn down so I can upgrade the front suspension, sand, primer and paint the engine compartment then drop in the new goodies. I will hopefully be up and running in the next 2-3 months looking for 9.90's in the 1/4 on spray.
