DROP OFF Item Donations Support SCC's ONLINE "Dream Auction." Become a part of history by donating items to what may be the first ONLINE charity auction in this part of the country. The auction begins soon and ends on February 24th when it rolls over into a live auction at our big fundraiser entitled "Step Up Dallas" at Eddie Deen's Ranch. Proceeds benefit our homeless community, particularly the misplaced youth.
If you would like to donate items for the "Dream Auction," please drop them off with our SCC Volunteer Coordinator upon arrival. Donate an item online for pick-up by clicking here. DROP OFF Used Cell Phones and Ink Jet Cartridges Support LFK's Recycling Program. Love For Kids has an opportunity to raise funds by recycling used cell phones and ink jet printer cartridges. This effort is made possible through EcoPhone whose commitment is to pay Love For Kids $1 to $200 for each cell phone collected and $1 to $5 for each ink jet cartridge collected. This program benefits Love For Kids, the environment, individuals, and companies alike.
If you would like to donate used cell phones or ink jet cartridges, please drop your items off in the drop-off box located in the registration area. Sign up for this event and be invited to participate in various other activities as well by clicking on "Register," then typing in your email address and submitting. On the ensuing screen, choose your areas of interest and fill in your "preferred" shift time and assignment when appropriate, then submit again. Note of Appreciation On behalf of SCC, thanks in advance for your willingness to volunteer! Love For Kids, the Dallas Margarita Society, and especially the children benefiting from this toy distribution, greatly appreciate your efforts. Remember, Christmas for many of these kids would not be possible without the caring support of great volunteers like you. Your help today is our hope for tomorrow! Mission of SCC SCC is a charity whose mission is to enrich the life of children in need through FUN-raising activities. In addition to hosting fund-raising events which provide financial support to local children's charities, these activities also include volunteer assistance for many charitable organizations and events throughout the D/FW community such as the "Love For Kids Christmas Party" and "All Kids Count" at the Circle R Ranch, the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, the Richardson Boys and Girls Club Merchandise Sale, the Greenville Avenue St. Patrick's Day Parade, ArtFEST, Weingarten at Addison Oktoberfest, the Mayor's Ball and many others.
