Hi everyone, I'm moving to Austin to further my career. This opportunity came up VERY suddenly and regrettably, I didn't have time to plan for a going away party, but I did want to let you know where I was. YAP has been a great way for me to meet you all and find out what there actually is to do around here. I will miss you all and remember our times together. Austin isn't that far away and I'm sure I'll be back up here often enough. I'm sure I'll see some of you on the up-coming tubing trip, and other "can't miss" events. I've had some great times and made some life times friends. With technology being what it is these days, there is no such thing as a real good-bye, so I'll just say see you later. Talk to you soon, or soon enough, Chris.

I remember Dina telling me something a cruise in the Mediterranean area involving a Greek Island (Santorini), Spain, and Turkey. If this is the case, count me in!!

If your using Windows 2000, DO NOT update your iPod firmware. The new update will destroy your iPod if you try download and install it while your iPod is connected to a Windows 2000 computer. The new update only works with iTunes Ver. 7.5, but that version only works with XP or Vista. So if you have installed the new update from a Windows 2000 machine, your iPod will appear to be empty when you try to use it. There is a fix for this, but I just wanted to keep people from going though what I've had to deal with for the past two days.

Speaking of Volleyball, Although I live in Dallas now, I'm from Chicago and was there this past week. I was at the Air and Water show and saw a lot of people playing v-ball on the North Ave. beach while the show was going on. It wasn't exactly the greatest weather for it, but many were out there playing away while the F-16's and A-10's performed over head. It rained that day, and again Sunday, and again Monday. Tuesday was a great day weather wise so I drove out to the North Ave beach from Des Plaines, hoping to get in on some pick-up games, but much to my horror, not only did I not find anyone out there, but the nets weren't even set up. Same thing happened to me again on the following Thursday. Does anyone know what's going on with the North Ave beach courts?
Thanks, Chris.

Hi Mike, What do we need to bring to this event? Will we need to have a tripod?

I was thinking about hosting an event for it, but I don't have time to be there all day and night. I see Life House is playing Saturday night. Anyone going?

Hello everyone and thanks for signing up!! As of now it looks like it may rain in Glen Rose this Saturday. I'll be closely monitoring the weather and make a final decision on if we're still good to go or not on by 9:15 Saturday morning, and update this event accordingly. If you'd like to call me to confirm, please email me here, and I'll reply back with my cell number. Because of the weather situation, I'm moving our meeting time back to 10am. Just like last year, we'll meet at the Target/McDonald’s parking lot on the Northwest corner of 635 and Montfort in Dallas . I'll be in the area that is on the North side of the McDonalds there. I drive a black Acura and will be standing near it. There'll also be YAP signs in the windows. I hope to meet there at 10, arrange car pooling, get last minute snacks and food from McD's and/or Target and head out. I see that Fossil Rim has increased their weekend rates by a dollar, so Admission is now $21.95. I do have three coupons from last year that appear to be still good for 10% off per group of 4 people. Also remember, you can pack a lunch, or buy one from their visitor area which we'll stop at half way through the trip. Their baffalo burgers are pretty good!! (no, I do not know where the meat comes from :) ) I hope the weather cooperates and we get to go. This has always been a fun trip to a very unique and scenic place. TTYS, Chris.

The Yucatan is also showing this fight, along with live cage fighting and women's oil wrestling. This would truly be a "guy's night out", but if we go here, it would be the third YAP event here in two months.

New Braunfels restricts alcohol while tubing 07:52 AM CST on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The New Braunfels City Council gave final approval to rules limiting the size of coolers on the Guadalupe and Comal rivers in the city limits and banning alcohol at several riverfront parks. The council voted 4-3 on Monday to limit people tubing on the Comal to one six-pack-size cooler each and those on the Guadalupe to a 12-pack cooler. The council also voted to restrict open containers from three riverfront parks and the last public exit on the Comal for people tubing. The new rules are the latest move in the city's effort to cut down on drunken parties, rowdy behavior and litter resulting partly from the thousands of tourists who flock to the rivers every summer. Associated Press
Update: 05/29/07 This will not effect us.

I also would like some way to sync the calendar with Outlook, or eVites.
Also how about a feature where members rate other members on how good they look, how cool they dress, and who leads the best events? Kind of like a Hot or not thing? ---- OF COURSE I'M JOKING!!
