EVENT UPDATE:
Alright everyone, today is the trip to the winery, and of course, its raining,lol. The weather still looks good in Aviston,IL though. AAAHHHH, another update to the event,lol.

Ive talked to several people about making an event for a trip to a winery. Well I have finally found one that Is a good time, with good wine, and great food. For this event I need everyone that RSVPs to actually show up. The winery itself will not cost anything, but i am going to be getting us a charter bus to drive us out there and back, that way we wont have to worry about "Sampling" too much wine,haha. So this event will have a small fee to pay for the bus. Check out the link before to learn more about the winery. I will not be planning this event for a couple more weeks, that way everyone has enough time to either take off work, or to find a sitter for the kids. If you want to go, please send me an email so I can have an Idea on how many people are going to go, and what size bus I should get.

***Update***
Ok, So far I have 3 people that say they want to go besides myself. The price to charter a bus is $525.00 to take us out there and to bring us back. Alsom just so you know, for those that dont like wine, including myself, they also have beer and liquor, and they are very cheap. Also, if anyone has friends that they would like to bring, feel free, just remember, the more people there are the cheaper it is for everyone to get the bus.

i wish I had not about that when i first got back from Iraq, It would have been a huge help, If I know anyone, i will deffinately let them know about it. As far as the YAP group is concerned, if people would actually reply to post, or actually attend, or even start their own evets, the group would be a lot better.

Its a great idea. Plus if we have a regular monthly event, it may encourage people to come out more. And I just wanted to point out that even if you arent able to RSVP for an event, you can still attend, we all have unexpected events that happen, so if you originally had plans that got canceled, dont think that you cant attend just because you didnt RSVP. back to the topic though, I would be more than happy to help out and host some of the monthly happy hours, just let me know your thoughts. And if anyone has any ideas on a good location, please let us know. Remember, some of us are still new to the St. Louis area and arent very familiar with what there is to do in St. Louis.

Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on taking a trip down to Meramec Cavern. Its about an hour from Downtown St. Louis. Even if you have kids, this would be great for them to. Admission is 18 per adult, but if there is a group of at least 15 people, the price drops to 13 per adult. http://www.americascave.com/ Check out the Website and let me know what you think.

I know that there is a bar in O'Fallon IL that has an outdoor Volleyball pit, and its only about 10 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

I just wanted to remind everyone that the reason for post ideas about events in the forums is to get everyones opinion on it. Some of the posts in the Forum are getting 30-70 view with only 1 or 2 replies. Your input on these topics are what makes it possible for people to com up with events. Please try and give input, or even ideas, to the people that are posting in the forums.

It will be an all night event, and lodging will be at the Bed and Breakfast. Im not sure ont he cost yet, but once enough people have actually showed an interest I wll do some more research into it.

Just wanted to see what everyone thinks about putting together a float trip. This will be a all weekend event, but that doesnt mean that you have to stay all weekend. Let me know what you think. James
