Hiking at Kuli`ou`ou Valley! Review by Nick S

Kuli`ou`ou Ridge
5/5 stars
By Nick S

If you take the Ridge trail, it's pretty sick...the first half is pretty easy, once you pass the picnic table the rest is super steep but it's worth it. Once you get up high enough you can see Hawaii Kai, Koko Head, etc behind you and to your right. You go up what seems like 1000 steps and at the top you have a sweet view of Waimanalo, Kailua off to the west, and the eastern part of the island. If it's a clear day, you can see the islands of Molokai and Lanai way off to the east (bring binoculars if you have them).

The way down can be super unstable in the steep parts. It's best to wear hiking boots or at least shoes that don't have worn soles. Bring plenty of water too.

If you head up there let me know I'd love to go!!
