Big Woodrows is a casual bar with a patio, music, TVs, and plenty of space. There is no cover charge here and no need to dress fancy for this one. If you get hungry, they have a full menu and plenty of seating inside and out. Drink specials include $7 domestic pitchers all day long. (I'll call and see if they have any additional specials for large groups and update this if they do.)
Big Woodrows (3111 Chimney Rock Road 77056) is just north of Richmond Ave. on the Eastern side of the street. Directions are available from the website.
Since it looks like Houston will stop ‘melting’ from the summer heat by this time, we’ll meet on the patio (weather permitting). Look for the ‘YAP’ signs placed on the tables for our group. If the weather looks bad, I’ll reserve a section inside. If you can't find us there, you probably shouldn't be drinking.
