Movies at Mink - every Tuesday.
I love weekly events. Not only do they provide me with something to look forward to during the week, but I don't necessarily feel pressured or disappointed if I happen to miss one. I know that I can just jump back in the following week.
That being said, I have recently become a fan of "Rocks Off Movie Night at The Mink," a free event which started as just a fun way to pass a slow Tuesday evening while watching a good movie and enjoying a few drinks with friends.
The Mink always offers awesome drink specials pertaining to the movie being shown that night, such as the requisite White Russians for "The Big Lebowski," a Flux Capacitor shot for "Back to the Future," and Lard Ass Drinks for "Stand By Me." This week (Oct. 6th), The Mink presents one of Stephen King's most iconic stories, "The Shining" starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. After 30 years, this movie still provides scares to people of all ages even after multiple viewings.
"The Shining" will be the first in The Mink's Halloween movie series so if you can't make it out this week, check back next Tuesday or even the one after that for an evening of scares and awesome drink specials!
