Anyone interested in grabbing drinks this thurs around 7, 8, 9ish???? I'm up for wherever midtown, heights, woodlands. I'm willing to travel since I live near bltwy 8 and 290 and there is really nothing exciting near me.

I don't know where around 290/8 you live, east/west/south or north of that point (I'm at West and the belt myself), but if you like good live bands and good drink prices there is a great little bar/club at West and Jones called On The Rox, it's a few store fronts down from Backyard Grill. It also has a great crowd on weekends.

I would love to. Unfortunately there is one slight problem. I had my checkcard stolen out of my purse at work yesterday so all my avenues of finances are shut down at this moment until I can get this resolved. =( Maybe next week instead. =). We will do happy hour soon I promise.

Hey,
Sorry to hear that. These days all cards are protected against fraud so you should be good there once you report it. Hope you get it sorted out soon. I know its always a hassle. Lost my card last year, got a new one and ended up finding it under the bed a month later. :)
Let me know once you things sorted out and we could so a happy hour. Else we could always meetup at the Mixers & Elixirs.

I'd go, but I'm catching a movie tonight at Studio Grill near I-10 and the Beltway. :( Got some buy-one-get-one free deals, and I want to take advantage of them and this is the ONLY night I can go. (Too many committments the rest of the week.)

Also, tomorrow night, Thursday, I'm going to check out the "Dirt Bar." It's south of the Heights, and it's supposedly Houston's best dive bar. For example: Tuesday night is Flip Flop night, no dress code, cheap prices, stiff drinks, etc.
