EVENT UPDATE:
Helllloooooooo Campers!!!
Are you ready for some time with friends (or in some cases friends-to-be!) and nature?? :-) I will post in the forums a list of "to bring" items for those new campers (or email me your email address & I can send it to you in excel).
Please update your RSVP with any things you still need - tent, ride, etc. If you will not be able to make it :-( .. please remove your RSVP so I can get a space big enough for everyone.
I'm told cell phone reception works in the area. It is primitive camping (i.e. put tents whereever), so I will be looking for a spot with lots of trees to keep the tents cool. I will have my cell phone (972-838-6021) and will also put YAP on the back window of my jeep so you can find us. I have a large 18 ft octagon netted tent and a 12-man tent (with space for more to sleep). I will also have an extra tent with me, so don't worry about not having a place to sleep, there will be plenty!
Bring cash with you as I believe it's an honor system paying for camping. Dogs are allowed & I will have my labrador with me :-)

Helloooo Campers!
It's finally time to head out to the campground!
The weather is calling for "partly cloudy" days all weekend - so it shouldn't be blazing hot, but definitely wear your sunscreen! 68-92oF all weekend :-)
If it gets too hot, we can always cool down at the Saloon!! :-)
My jeep died, so I'm not sure what I will be driving, but look for my green 12 man tent & an 18ft octagon netted tent. I will be there some time Friday night. Call my cell phone when you arrive and I can direct you to us. If you decide to come in Saturday morning instead, we may be away from the campsite. I will *try* to leave a map w/the bartender at the Saloon so that you can still find us if cell phone reception fails. I will also have some sort of YAP sign on one of my tents ..
I am told it is primitive camping - this means that there are no allotted campsites - it's camp whereever. They DO have bathrooms & showers so it is not extremely primitive, but I would bring flip flops or shower shoes :-)
If you're unable to attend, please remove your RSVP so that I can get a good headcount on how many to expect.
