**USE THIS THREAD TO COORDINATE RIDES, NEEDED CAMPING GEAR, FOOD, ETC ... FOR HOUSTON FOLKS! As most of you know, our 4th (or maybe it's 5th) annual all of YAP Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio) are getting together to TUBE THE GUADELUPE!! All levels of campers are welcome! If this is your first time camping we can definitely help show you the ropes. Just let us know if it is your first time, or if you'd like a list of what "to bring" as it's been awhile. WEATHER WORRIES: I've been during this same weekend the past 2 years (with YAP) and it has been fantastic! With all of the trees and with the water being cool (ok, so it's cold, but still feels nice when it's hot!) if you just need an instant cool down - it doesn't ever get 'too hot'. They also have cabins onsite that you can rent (you might want to call now though). The cabins have a/c!! |

MY PLANS: A few of us are going down Thursday night (getting good camping spots for our group), tubing Friday, then relaxing as everyone else comes in Friday night. Just FYI .. The group usually tubes at 10am on both Friday & Saturday. **I HAVE EXTRA CAMPING GEAR & I THINK ROOM FOR 1 MORE PERSON TO RIDE ... LET ME KNOW IF NEEDED. |

Hey April I would like to come on this trip. Do you have room for one more to ride with you? I am not a big camper so I will need some advice on what to bring. Do I have to buy an intertube before the trip? |

Sure!
You don't need to buy an intertube. The group rents their tubes onsite. Most of the time if you bring your own tube, the place will not pick up your tube & bring it back, so it's best to just rent.
