Where are the best places to get Halloween costumes in Houston? Let us know which places are too expensive, which are the best deals, which have the best selections and more. Also share the best kept secrets on those local non chain type stores which have costumes you cannot get anywhere else.

Party City has wide selection of halloween costumes. Also there is a new Halloween Express opened up on Hwy 6 and 529 I believe that have costumes.

I dont know if its open this year (but it has been every year for like 20 years, so I'm assuming they're still around) Frankel's.... There's also a couple of Halloween themed stores along Westheimer that are pretty good... I want to say they're called Halloweentown or something like that....

The places mentioned above are great. There's also Halloween Express and Spirit Halloween stores. And if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary there are some good vintage stores like Buffalo Exchange, Vintage Oasis, and Sam's Wear it Again. I've put together a list of placs to buy halloween costumes in Houston with links that may be helpful. I'm on that search for the best costume myself.

Frankel's is still open and has a large selection. It is much better than the Halloween Express and Spirit stores scattered around town.

I went to Frenkels this year, but their selection was about the same as everyone elses. Most of the stuff I'd be interested in only came in "SMALL" of which, I'm not :-( Frenkels has, hands down, the best accessories - wigs, earrings, etc. Halloween Express had the best boots (looked like REAL boots for decent price versus the ones at Spirit that looked like fake patent leather for $$$).
For your basics (eyelashes, nails, etc) - go to Walmart, it's cheapest!! :)
My 2 cents worth of crazy experience this year! :-)
