Every year tens of thousands of music fans flock to Iceland Airwaves to experience this exciting festival which has earned an international reputation for being the place to spot new talent. Over 100 local bands and some 30 international acts are scheduled to perform at the festival.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Evening departure from JFK Airport on Icelandair. Dinner served on flight.
Day 2: Morning arrival in Iceland. Bus transfer to Hotel Loftleiðir. The day is open for your own activities. Optional tours will be offered.
Friday Dinner (not included in the price), group reservations at award-winning Apotek.
Friday PM. In the evening, we make our way to the Airwaves festival: from Pravda Airwaves Club to Gaukurinn then to the Reykjavik Art Museum for Canadian blockbuster “Islands” then the evenings highlight – famed British band “The Go! Day 3: Complimentary Scandinavian breakfast. All activities this day are optional at no additional cost.
At 9 am we depart for horseback riding at the scenic Heidmork Park outside Reykjavik where our friendly Icelandic horses are saddled up and waiting. You'll enjoy meeting these Viking-descended steeds during your ride through lava formations, mountains and hidden lakes. (1 1/2 to 2 hour riding tour). Horses available for all riding skill levels.
After our riding tour, we enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (including soup, salad and coffee) before we are taken to the Blue Lagoon to soak away the afternoon in soothing geothermal mineral water (the famed hot springs). Return to Reykjavik between 3pm and 4pm.
Saturday Dinner (not included in the price), group reservations at international favorite Prir Frakkar.
Saturday PM. We again make our way back to Airwaves: Grand Rokk to the National Theatre to Nasa for the evenings highlights – American favorite with past sold-out shows in Baltimore and DC, the “Brazilian Girls” at 12:00 midnight. Late night favorites will include “The Cribs” and the “Kaiser Chiefs” rocking out back-to-back at the Reykjavik Art Museum.
Day 4: Another day to enjoy the Airwaves festival. Perhaps take in optional whale watching or more excursions.
Day 5: Complimentary Scandinavian breakfast. The morning is open for last minute sightseeing and shopping. In the afternoon, we return home
