Rotary International is looking for young business professionals from the Bay Area to participate in its Group Study Exchange with Sweden from May 10 – June 7, 2009. The Group Study Exchange Program promotes goodwill, international understanding and vocational knowledge. This program sends young professionals to a different country each year for four weeks to learn how its people live and work, especially those in your own profession. Participants are given the opportunity to see the country in a way they would never be able to as a tourist. They’re not only taken on personal behind-the-scenes tours of businesses, but to see many local attractions as well. Rotary is looking for young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40, who work or live in the district (San Mateo, San Francisco and Marin counties), are U.S. citizens, gainfully employed in a recognized profession for at least two years, and not related to a Rotarian. Rotary seeks friendly, outgoing people who can work closely with others and adhere to a demanding four-week schedule. A team of four, as well as a Rotarian team leader will be selected from within the district. (The Swedish GSE team will visit April 4 – May 2) ALL EXPENSES ARE COVERED BY ROTARY Interviews for team leader/team members will be held in San Francisco on Saturday, October 18, 2008.
