Hi,
I just accepted a position at a large firm in Center City. I was wondering if anyone else works down there and would be interested in getting together for luch or happy hour after work. It can be as often (or not) as we decide. I know the Center City offers great places to eat and hang out after work. Let me know!! |

Lol, slow time in the forums here. If we can get some more people to come, I'm game--I think the problem is that not a lot of people use online sites like this to organize or attend social events. I'm totally new here, so I thought I'd give it a try. Embrace the information age. Whatever. I'm working for Americorps in Philly, so it won't be hard for me to get to center city. Let's hope more people catch on and visit this forum--it'd be great to meet some Philadelphian professionals outside of work. |

Did you find anyone to hang out with yet? I just recently found this website and decided to signed up. I'm originally from the Phila. area. However, I've been living in CT for the past 7 years. The social scene has changed for me a bit since I've returned. If you or anyone else wants to get together for Happy Hour I'm game. There are plenty of great places in the Phila area plus, it's summer and there's always the Jersey shore.
Believe me I know what it's like to be from out of town and not know anyone. It's extremely difficult to plant yourself and make your new surroundings your home. Fortunately, you landed in Philadelphia where there is stuff going on. Unlike me, who landed in Hartford, Ct, where there is nothing go on.
If others want to join that would be great. I think you have to start somewhere even if it's just a small group of people. Your circle of friends will grow from there.
