Nightmare on Carson Street 2008

Why wait until October 31st to celebrate Halloween when you can bust out that dusty old costume a week early? Lindy Promotions and Miller Lite announce the most anticipated event of the Fall: Nightmare on Carson Street. On Saturday, October 25th, be prepared to be scared as hundreds of people flood the Southside and “trick-or-treat” between 15 popular bars, benefiting The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

Between 5pm-midnight, Nightmare on Carson Street will feature discounts from some of the Southside’s best bars and restaurants: The Town Tavern, 1311, Mario’s South Side Saloon, Tiki Lounge, Jekyl & Hyde, St. James Place, Smokin’ Joe’s, Double Wide Grill, Excuses, Carson City Saloon, Mill Site Tavern, Brewski’s, White Eagle Inn, Bar 11, and Lava Lounge. Those who attend will enjoy $2 Miller Lite pints, a souvenir cup, fabulous food & drink specials, and an exclusive midnight costume contest with $500 in prizes. While discounted advance tickets are sold online at lindypromo.com, door sales can be purchased at St. James Place (153 S 18th St) from 5pm to 10pm for $8, or $5 with the donation of two canned goods benefiting the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food through a 350+ member network in 11 counties in southwestern Pennsylvania. Through various outlets such as soup kitchens, food pantries, and shelters, the Food Bank currently distributes around 18 million pounds of food per year.

This is the third event Lindy Promotions is hosting in the Pittsburgh market. The past two events, the “Leprechaun Lap” and the “Southside Beach Bash”, have drawn over 500 people and raised 475 pounds of canned food for charity.
