Hey! My name is Crystal and my husband and I just moved to the San Antonio area. We were wondering if there are any fun places to go on the 4th of July and/or any fireworks shows in the area? I was actually searching and trying to find something when I came across this website and thought this looked like a great way to meet people and hear about fun things happening around town. Also, I'm a elem. school teacher searching for a job at the moment, so if anyone has any connections in the school districts, I'd love to know! I've applied just about everywhere! Thanks!

It's been several years since I attended any official July 4th festivities, so I'm not the best person to answer your question, but I wanted to say welcome to you and your husband. Crystal, most of the fireworks places are banned due to the severe drought San Antonio is having. However, downtown is still having their festivities. They usually take place by the emily morgan hotel near the Alamo. have fun and welcome to SA.
