Welcome to the bay area! I'm from the east coast myself - moved here over 2 yrs ago and I love it!
I know that settling in can be quite hard at first but once you meet new people, it's hella fun! ("hella" is a Norcal term!)
I see you're a lawyer - what kinda law? Immigration? Corporate? Criminal? Divorce? I have contacts in the valley and may be able to help...
I play in a coed flag football team on Friday evenings and the gal that organizes it is looking for more females...the location is in Sunnyvale tho, which is quite a distance from Emeryville...
Nightlife: Go to eventvibe.com, nitelifehookup.com. SF has the best nitelife around here, don't ever go to DT San Jose! The areas you wanna go to in SF are the Marina, Mission, Union Square, and North Beach for the most happening bars...
